Maryland SHIP 2014 Tracker
The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene launched the Maryland State Health Improvement Process (SHIP) in October 2011 to align and support existing community health improvement processes across the state. SHIP provides a framework for accountability, local action, and public engagement to advance the health of Marylanders. SHIP tracks 39 objectives and their targets in six vision areas:
- Healthy Babies
- Healthy Social Environments
- Safe Physical Environments
- Infectious Disease
- Chronic Disease
- Healthcare Access
SHIP currently provides targets corresponding to their objectives for 2014. The targets are updated every few years.
