Description

FirstPlace helps transition foster youth out of foster care as they age out of the system. The program offers housing, academic enrichment, counseling, a community center, and community education to help youth live independently.

Goal / Mission

FirstPlace for Youth seeks to fill the gap in services available to youth transitioning out of the foster care system to independent living.

Results / Accomplishments

The program has shown positive impacts on youth. 80% of youth maintain safe, permanent housing after exiting the program; 79% of eligible youth secured employment, and; 90% of participants stated that they feel their advocate supports them in all aspects of their lives.
